Digital imaging has been around for many years - computers have played a role in CAT & MRI scans - the images (results) are viewed on the computer screen and can be enhanced or clarified by using computer programs. The practitioner can better diagnose disease utilizing this enhanced technology.
Dental imaging has now been perfected! This technology has been available for several years but NOW Kodak has maximized the ability to view images and also has an FDA approved enhancement program that helps in the diagnosis of decay - called the LOGICON program. This aids in the ability of the practitioner to identify areas of decay that the naked eye may not see.
Our office now has this LOGICON program along with digital dental imaging - a 50% reduction of radiation and enhancement capabilities.
